We have some good and bad news to share with you all.
The GOOD news is that we have an upcoming release of the 2nd book in Andi O’Connor’s YA fantasy series The Vaelinel Trilogy. YAY! *does a happy dance*
The BAD news is that due to issues with the formatter, it still hasn’t gone to print and we don’t have an official release date. 😦
But…we do have some more GOOD news and can share the ebook cover! What do you think? Does it whet your appetite?
The Legacy of Ilvania continues with the release of REVENGE!
* * *
Juriel’s struggle to save the people of Ilvania continues in this gripping fourth installment of The Legacy of Ilvania!
Completely lost after Jae’s death, Juriel is thrown into his role as healer. She is now the one everyone depends on to control the epidemic sweeping through Ilvania. Without Jae, her efforts are futile. Fueled by her brother’s magic, the disease continues to rage on with greater fervor.
But the epidemic isn’t her only battle. Following the disappearance of one of her fellow healers, Juriel discovers that her family will stop at nothing to see her dead. Beaten and near death, she finds the courage that haunted her in its absence.
The time for revenge has come.
Retribution is now available! In celebration, how about a little teaser! This is from the opening scene. Enjoy!
Juriel obeyed. Purple lightning burst from the palms of her hands and bounced harmlessly off of Jae’s shield. Sparks illuminated the tiny room already heavy with the burnt metallic scent of magic.
Jae slithered to his left. Juriel followed his movements, trying to anticipate his next action. His green eyes bore into her, not betraying even the slightest hint of his intentions.
“Again!” Jae barely finished the command when the deep purple lightning once again slammed against his defenses. Unlike Juriel’s previous attempts, the last attack caused his outer shields to quiver. Her magic was more focused. Instead of allowing the bolts to hit him at various points, some missing the mark all together, she’d concentrated her power. All four bolts hit his defenses within a foot’s radius. Jae smiled inwardly. She was getting stronger.
Moving to his right, Jae returned to his previous position. Without warning, he let out his own attack. Blue fire erupted from his hands. Juriel gasped, recoiling when it slammed against her shields. But then it was Jae’s turn to be surprised. It bounced off Juriel’s defenses and shot back towards his own, hitting them with surprising force. The impact caused him to stagger backward, almost knocking him to the ground.
The fire died and the room filled with smoke. When the air cleared enough to see, Juriel’s reaction wasn’t at all what Jae expected She’d collapsed to her knees, tears streaming down her cheeks.

I am so pleased to reveal the cover for COVEN! I think it captures the feel I was going for perfectly. The title, Coven, was chosen because authors gathered together to weave their magic and create this amazing anthology. The cover also lends a bit of mystery, which I think is extremely appropriate. There isn’t a central theme. Each story is different and the reader won’t know what’s inside until they open up the cover and begin reading.
The designer is still working on the full cover, so I will reveal that when it is ready. What do you think of the front cover? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I tried someone new for Coven’s cover, and in the end realized I should have stayed with the designer I’ve worked with before and whose work I love. After extensive explanations of my vision and what I wanted, as well as revisions, there wasn’t anything about the cover this new designer created. I gave up and have gone with the designer I’ve worked with before and who did the covers for Redemption, Reclamation, and Awakening.
I should have the first drafts late this week, but this will cause delays in printing, and subsequently the release date. I will let you know more as things happen and will keep you all updated. I apologize for the delays, but I want the cover to be perfect in order to do everyone’s story justice. And the one I received wasn’t. Not even close.
Well, here it is! We’re so excited to finally release the cover for the Reclamation, the next short story in The Legacy of Ilvania series! It will be available in eBook in October! Do you still need to read Redemption? Pick it up for your Kindle or Nook today for just 99¢!
A month after Jae proved everything the Mé’Draak believed about their magic to be wrong, he’s finally beginning to settle into his demanding new role as Healer. But he quickly discovers that everything comes at a price – even good deeds. Will he have the strength to protect a little girl crucial to the future of the world, or will Ilvania fall into shadow?
Do you like the cover? What does it say to you? Let us know what you think! We’d love to hear your thoughts!
Here it is, everyone! The final cover for Awakening by Andi O’Connor coming in Fall 2014!
The color palette really reflects the darkness of the book, and the subject matter brings out the various forms and themes of ‘awakening’ – some obvious, some much more subtle. Kudos to Damonza.com for perfectly capturing the essence and feel we were looking for as well as finding unique ways to incorporate many of our ideas!
What do you think of the cover? What does it say to you? Does it get you interested in reading Awakening? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Today begins the final countdown before the release of Silevethiel in Hardback on November 26th! To celebrate and to say ‘Thank You’ to all my fans for your continued support, the eBook of Silevethiel is on sale for 50% off on MyBookOrders.com from now until Nov. 26th. Type the promo code THANK50 during checkout and enjoy!
I got the hardbacks of Silevethiel yesterday and they look (and smell) awesome! I know they are more difficult to sell than paperbacks, but I just couldn’t resist. To me, there’s nothing like the look and feel of a hardback! When purchasing books, I’d seek out hardbacks whenever possible, regardless of the author. What about you? Do you find yourself to be a collector of Hardbacks, or do you prefer paperback or eBook? Does the author or book make a difference in which format you purchase? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I’m excited to reveal the front cover of Silevethiel! It’s the first book in my new YA fantasy series, The Vaelinel Trilogy, and will be available in eBook in September and Hardback in November!
